About

I’m Syreeta.

I’m a wife and a mother of two.  I’m also a novice graphic designer, admirer of pop-culture, and a passionate amateur cook.  I have a goal to completely revolutionize my life and my family’s lives.

I love reading blogs, cooking, crafting, sewing, watching tv, reading, sleeping, snacking, snoozling, momming, photoshopping, and just regular shopping.  I also love long walks around my town.  I’m amazed by the world around me- daily.  My personal heroes are working mothers who find a way to give their families the best while simultaneously pursuing their own interests and cultivating their own talents.  It’s a lifelong process, an endless challenge.  My favorite cookbook author is James Peterson.  So far.  I change my mind about this sort of thing all the time.

I recently turned thirty, and then quit my job to stay at home full time. My husband, a professional theatre artist, will be sole breadwinner in our house. My family of four will be living on $1400 a month, and redesigning the ways in which we survive.  This blog is meant to be a kind of record of this next phase of my life, as I learn to reconcile my life’s passions and my resources, and to be the best I can be.  I’m open to suggestions.
